Volume VI from the Fifth Series of the Pennsylvania Archives contains the muster and payrolls related to the Associators and Militia of Cumberland County during the Revolutionary War. Found within the muster rolls are list of officers and soldiers, their rank and date of service. The muster rolls in the Second Series of the Published Pennsylvania Archives were found to be in error and were in some cases incomplete. Volume VI of the Fifth Series was reprinted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to correct the errors and omissions related to the militia records of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Whether a historian, a Revolutionary War enthusiast, or a genealogist who had ancestors that lived in Cumberland County during the Revolutionary War, this volume will be of value. (660 pp.)
