The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania originally published this volume from the Sixth Series of the Pennsylvania Archives in 1906. Included on this CD-ROM are the muster rolls related to the associators and militia for Washington, Westmoreland and York counties during the Revolutionary War. Found within the muster rolls are lists of officers and soldiers along with officers’ correspondence and narratives of expeditions, including a survivor’s account of Crawford’s expedition to Sandusky. Also included in this volume is an addendum of miscellaneous lists including muster rolls from the First Pennsylvania Regiment and several lists of Pennsylvania's prisoners of war. Whether a historian, a Revolutionary War enthusiast, or a genealogist who had ancestors that lived in south-western Pennsylvania or York county during the Revolutionary War time period, this volume will be of immediate interest.
